Bamford Clough, perhaps the steepest road climb in Britain, has now been closed to vehicles with no sign of any construction taking place - this is quite common in Derbyshire, usually due to subsidence (eg #191339 ), but the council is pretty good at making it clear that there's access for pedestrians and cyclists.
